You are seen. You are heard. You are valid. You are loved.
A Special Statement from
Patchwork's Executive Director
Hello my beautiful trans family,
I know everyone is as completely shell shocked as we are here with the outcome of the presidential election. We’re already hearing from you that so many are scared, angry, lost and confused. The violent and virulent promise of the coming administration's planned attack on our people is palpable.
And yet, our community has always faced marginalisation, discrimination, and persecution, and we have time and again come together in love and mutual aid to rise above the hate.
Patchwork exists to offer a safe space and an outlet for every gender diverse person to processes, express, and share our experiences and our emotions together, and we are not backing down.
In light of the current events, we are working tirelessly to ramp up our capabilities and hope to be adding new groups as fast as possible to meet your needs. Emails with links to new groups are out very soon.
As well, for the foreseeable future, we will also be offering groups open to friends, family, providers, and allies to stand with us in this moment.
Please help spread the word. If someone you know is searching for free online peer support, please direct them to our website transpatchwork.org or our Instagram @transpatchwork and Threads @transpatchwork.
As always, you are seen. You are heard. You are valid. And you are loved.
With love and hope,
Stephanie Joy Kolton
